Kid's Day at the Farmers Market, Saturday May 10th

Farmers Market of Siloam Springs

Market is open for business again! Orders will be accepted through Wednesday at 5 p.m. www.siloamsprings.locallygrown.net

Saturday May 10th will be our first Kid’s Day at the Farmers Market! We are so excited to have the Sons of Otis Malone as our guest musicians that day. Bring a chair or blanket and a picnic lunch and join us for a nice day of fellowship and fun! Music begins at 10 a.m.

Bring your children and grand children down to meet the Benton County Master Gardeners and make a craft! The educational topic will be discussing Plant Parts We Eat. Story time begins at 10 a.m. and we may offer another at 10:30 a.m. depending on the number of children visiting the booth. The Master Gardeners will also be providing adult education that day and the topic is Vegetable Gardening and Soil Building. Stop by and pick up a schedule for the season that you can hang on your fridge!

As always, the Bounce House will be available for the children!

Sunday, May 11th is Mother’s Day! We have some great gift items at our market. Here are some ideas for Mom:

Skopp Bakery – Rikki is offering a package of rolls and jam or marmalade of your choice for $11. This would make an easy breakfast or brunch for Mom. It is recommended to pre-order this special offer through the online market but there will be a limited supply available at her table on Saturday.

Circle C Candles – Keith offers a wide variety of soy based candles. He even takes custom orders. Watch the online market for his inventory to be added soon.

Jim King builds some really nice blue bird houses that would make a great gift for moms who enjoy bird watching.

Greener Pastures Products – Mica makes Goat Milk Soaps, foaming hand soaps, sugar scrubs, facial bars, shampoo bars, shaving whips, bath teas and more! Her inventory is available through the online market as well as at the physical market.

The Bread Basket – Brenda offers a wide variety of baked goods, cakes, cookies and more! I know she’ll have something special for Mom’s.

Susi’s Kitchen – Susi has hand knitted items, baked goods and vegetable plants. A nice variety of gift ideas. Susi sells through the online market as well.

Marie’s Crochet – Marie has a nice selection of crocheted items for your kitchen, including dish cloths, aprons for your soap bottle, cute veggie designed plastic bag holders, hot pads and more.

Create4Good – Melissa has created a great line of homemade cleaning supplies and personal items. She also has local, raw, unfiltered honey for sale. You can see her items in the online market as well as every Saturday in the park.

Perennial Gardens – Shelli always has a beautiful selection of flowers, plants and veggie plants. Most moms and grandmas love plants and flowers. Stop by and see Shelli for a great gift selection.

Possum Holler Produce – Tom has some beautiful fresh cut flowers each week. Wouldn’t a nice bouquet be a great addition to Moms gift?
