Weather Watch

Farmers Market of Siloam Springs

Well, here we are with this crazy Arkansas weather – from beautiful days and temps in the 60’s to below freezing, sleet, and snow on the way. Walmart is probably out of bread, milk, and water by now and schools are trying to decide if they should cancel classes based on the forecast for the day.

Market Management will be monitoring the weather as it comes in over the next few days and will make a definite decision on Friday about how to handle Saturday’s pick up day. We may need to be flexible and we are more than willing to do so.

Everyone stay warm and safe as the weather comes in and be sure to watch your email Friday afternoon for an update about our decision.

Thank you!

Meet Your Farmer and Cyber Monday Sale

Farmers Market of Siloam Springs

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! For the next few weeks we are going to share an article about one of the vendors. This week you get to know more about R Family Farms.

We have dreamed of living on a farm for years, and last year, 2012, that dream came true! We are now living on a quiet, beautiful farm nestled in the ozarks. We are excited about our new adventure!

We sell 100% Grass fed, Dry aged BEEF (Dry aged for more concentrated flavor and less water weight), Pastured GMO free CHICKEN, Pastured GMO free PORK, GMO free, free range EGGS, and GMO free RAW MILK (Raw Milk will not be available at the market but you can contact us to ask about how to purchase some). Vegetables also available seasonally.

We rotate our animals onto fresh grass daily. Our animals get fresh water, and they have all the sunshine they want. We do not vaccinate, or use antibiotic, steroids, or any growth hormones ever!

We believe that God has placed this vision in our hearts, and we can’t wait to see where it takes us! We believe in Healthy Eating, and Happy Families. Thank you for choosing R FAMILY FARM. We are so excited and honored to be a part of the Siloam Springs Market! We look forward to meeting you, and supplying you with the freshest, most nourishing, farm fresh products available!

Market Closed weekend of Thanksgiving

After much consideration and consultation with vendors, Market Management has decided to close the market during the week of Thanksgiving so the families can enjoy spending time together and make preparations for their meals and other festivities.

We are truly thankful for our customers and your support of this market as we entered into this new venture. I cannot describe the feeling of fulfillment I have knowing we are able to connect our community to locally grown foods throughout the winter months.

Be blessed as you pause to consider all that you are thankful for this year.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Online Market is open!

Our market is growing in number of products as well as number of customers. We had a great Saturday seeing familiar faces and meeting some new ones.

Market will be open from Sunday through Wednesday. Thank you for supporting our local farmers and artisans. If there is a product you would like to see please communicate this to either the farmer/baker or to the market manager at

Have a great week!

First Market Pick up day - Success

Thank you to everyone who has opened an account to be able to participate in the online market. The first pick up date was a success! Rikki Skopp, of Skopp Bakery, and Roger, Jennifer and their daughters, of R Family Farm, enjoyed visiting with customers as they came to pick up their orders. The weather was beautiful – it was a great day all around.

The market is officially open again from today, Sunday, November 10th, through Wednesday, November 13th at 5 p.m.

Please share the website with your family and friends! Let them know there are currently 165 great products online to order. We appreciate all of you very much!

Opening Day, November 3, 2013

Main Street Siloam Springs and the Siloam Springs Farmers Market
are pleased to announce the
Grand Opening of our new Online Winter Farmers Market!

The market is open for business today – Sunday, November 3rd. To create your FREE account go to Click on Sign In; scroll down the page and complete the info to create your account. That’s it! You can now buy fall/winter produce, pastured & grass-fed meats, cheese, locally roasted coffees, a wide variety of baked goods and breads, jams, jellies, and hand crafted items. It’s just like going to our open air market through the spring and summer seasons, but with the convenience of being able to preview what is available, plan your meals, place your order and then pick it up packaged and ready to take home.

Here is how the market will work:

The Siloam Springs Online Market will open for customers on Sunday each week and orders will be accepted through Wednesday at 5 p.m. Then, the market will disable the ordering process from Wednesday evening through Saturday. This gives the growers and bakers plenty of time to prepare/harvest your products for delivery on Saturday morning at Wellspring Nutrition, 116 N. Broadway, Siloam Springs, AR. Pick up hours on Saturday will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. We do request you bring a shopping bag or box in which to pack your purchases. Growers/vendors will update their products and availability in time for the markets’ re-opening each Sunday.

Payment for purchases – you will pay for your purchase at the time of pick up. Cash and EBT/SNAP benefits will be accepted as payment.
