The last day of 2018. This year has been good to us and I am thankful. Looking forward to what 2019 brings.

With the holidays over it’s time to settle back in to a normal routine. Our farmers have lots to offer in selections of healthy meats and there is spinach, chard, buttercrunch lettuce, and kale. Farm fresh eggs are available as well as local honey. Let our bakers bake up some fresh bread or rolls and don’t forget we have great all natural home and personal care products, laundry detergent, and home made soaps.

Merry Christmas Eve!

The end of the year is upon us! It seems like time goes by faster each year. I hope all of you are blessed with time off to spend with family and friends and that you can reflect on all that has taken place in 2018 before you bring in the New Year – 2019.

Christmas is almost here! Order your holiday ham, roasts, or chicken, pies, rolls, and get some amazing greens for your holiday celebration. Don’t forget to shop for gifts and stocking stuffers as well.

We are excited to announce that a new farmer is joining our market family! Sam and Anita Andrews, owners of Raised Rite Poultry, will begin selling their free range, Non-GMO fed poultry products on our online market beginning this week. Sam has a degree in Poultry Science and has been working in the industry for years. We enjoyed a visit to his farm last week. They have whole birds, chicken frames, and all the cuts – breasts, tenders, legs, wings, and thighs. As the name suggests, they are raising these birds well!

David Mitchell, of Dos Locos Farms, does have some R Family Farm chicken still available online. He has gone the extra mile to make sure our customers have had access to quality poultry while continuing to raise his goat, lamb, and pork, and also partner with another farmer to continue to offer grass fed beef to our customers while he is developing his own beef program. We are so thankful to have his family as part of our market family as well. There are only 3 packages of chicken breast and 8 whole birds left in his inventory from R
Family Farm. We are so blessed to be able to offer such great locally grown meats to our community even during times of transition. We are proud that R Family Farm got their start at our market aandnd grew to the point they needed larger markets and we are proud to bring the Andrews family into our market. I cooked one of their whole birds for dinner yesterday and it was really good. Then I made broth out of the bones and it gelled up beautifully.

Baby kale, buttercrunch lettuce and chard are all available this week along with butternut squash and fingerling sweet potatoes!

Get your holiday ham from Dos Locos Farms. Have you tried their pork chops? We had some last week and they are so good! All the pork products were re-stocked a couple weeks ago.

Susi, owner of Susi’s Kitchen, will have bags of cookies available for purchase at the Online Market pick up at Pour Jons this weekend. Peppermint, Chocolate Peppermint, and Sugar Cookies with Christmas Sprinkles will be available. All are “Limited Quantities”. Come enjoy a cup of coffee at Pour Jons and get some cookies to go with it.

Due to the approaching Winter Weather we have decided to close the market early and cancel pick up this Saturday. We rarely close our market but it’s better to keep everyone safe.

Make plans to let our bakers do some of your Christmas baking for you! From rolls to pies or specialty breads and cookies they are ready to help you create a beautiful holiday meal!

Speaking of holiday meal, you can get eggs and bacon for a nice breakfast during the week when the kids on are on break or for Christmas morning. Tired of turkey? How about a beautiful, pastured chicken or some pork ribs? You can also purchase a Holiday Ham from Dos Locos Farms.

Our farmers have lettuce in the green house so it should be available soon, weather permitting. Lack of sun and cold temps causes crops to grow at a much slower rate. Butternut squash and fingerling sweet potatoes are still available.

There are still sweet potatoes and seasonal greens available from Opossum Hollow and Thurlo Farms as long as last nights low temps didn’t affect them.

Dos Locos has re-stocked their pork products, we have eggs, baked goods, microgreens, jelly, honey, and all natural home and personal care products, and the best soaps around!

Good morning!

In order to allow our farmers and vendors time to enjoy the Holiday week/weekend with family, the online market will be closed the week of Thanksgiving.

We will re-open Monday, November 26th.

There are pies listed for sale from Payne Family Farm which would be great for Thanksgiving! Check out our Facebook page if you want to order direct from her closer to the holiday.

You still have time to place an order or an additional order this week. We will be accepting orders through Thursday at 10 p.m.

For those who have ordered this week, I’ll see you Saturday and we wish all a Happy Thanksgiving!
